MANILA, Jan. 15, 2014 (PIA)–Gikunhoran na og 10 ka adlaw ang pagproseso sa identification cards sa mga miyembro sa Social Security System (SSS) ubos sa Unified Multi-Purpose Identification (UMID) System.
Tungod niini, gilauman nga mokabat sa kapin 3 milyones ka identification cards ang ma-proseso sa SSS.
Ang 10 ka adlaw nga proseso magsugod sa date of application hangtud sa adlaw nga ma-release sa Philippine Postal Corporation ang UMID card package.

MANILA, Jan. 15, 2014 (PIA)–Gilusad karon ni Presidente Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III ang Cashless Purchase Card (CPC) Program sa gobyerno aron malikayan ang anomaliya sa mga transaksyon.
Sa Good Governance Summit, miingon si Presidente Aquino nga solusyon kini nga sistema sa naandang transaksyon sa pagpalit og mga government supplies.
Matud pa sa Presidente nga target nila nga sa dili pa mahuman ang tuig, 100% nga checkless o wala nay tseke ug 80% cashless na ang transaksyon sa gobyerno.
Ang CPC ipatuman ning unang kwarter sa 2014 sa tabang sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of National Defense (DND) ug ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) isip mga pilot agencies alang sa implementasyon niini.
Limitadong cards lamang ang ipanghatag sa mga ahensiya sa gobyerno nga adunay allowable purchases apil na sa mga medical supplies, meals, transportation sa official documents, airline tickets, ug construction supplies alang sa mga minor repairs.

MANILA, Jan. 14, 2014 (PIA)–Gipahibalo karon sa Department of Education (DepEd) nga sugdan sa Enero 25 (Sabado) ang early registration sa tanang pampublikong tunghaan sa nasud.
Matud pa ni Education Secretary Armin Luistro, tuyo nilang malikayan kun adunay mahimong problema sa dili pa ang enrollment sa mga estudyante.
“We want to prevent logistical problems when the new school year starts in June. If our school heads know how many students they will have ahead of time, they can better prepare classrooms and seats and learning materials,” pasabot ni Luistro.
Target sa maong sayo nga pagparehistro ang mga batang 5-anyos aron masiguro ang ilang enrolment sa kindergarten ug ang mga batang 6-anyos aron pagsiguro nga mapatala sila sa Grade 1 sa umaabot Hunyo.
Ang ubang target sa early registration nag-apil usab sa mga out-of-school children (OSC) ug out-of-school youth (OSY) gikan sa mga disadvantaged groups, apil na sa mga street children nga nagpangedaron og 5 hangtud 18 ka tuig.

THE Diplomatic Corps of the Philippines on Friday committed to help the Philippines rebuild from the ruins left by calamities that befell the country last year.
Papal Nuncio Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto, the dean of the Diplomatic Corps, said the whole world wishes to console and to help Filipinos recover from the tragedies.
“The Diplomatic Corps sincerely vows to help in rebuilding something that is even better than what was destroyed,” Pinto said in his toast at the annual Vin d’Honneur at Malacañang Palace.
Also, the Papal Nuncio proposed a toast to a New Year of “peace and greater prosperity” for the Filipino people and for the well-being of President Benigno Aquino III.
He lamented the events of the last few months, including the magnitude-7.2 quake last October that hit Central Visayas, including Bohol – known for its historic churches.
The Papal Nuncio likewise noted the devastation brought by super typhoon “Yolanda” (Haiyan) last November.
Yet, he said this was where the Filipino people showed their strength.
“When faced with this tragedy, the Filipino people reacted with the strength of their character and their faith. Victims and rescuers became members of the same family. The whole world wished to help, to console, to rebuild. And just as in previous calamities, you Mr. President, paved the way for local and international solidarity,” he said.
On the other hand, the Papal Nuncio cited the signing between the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front of the annex on power sharing of the Framework Agreement on Bangsamoro also gives new hope.
“This is the work of peace. Peace is the essential infrastructure that permits us to build even in the midst of ruin, or better still, from the ruin, It illuminates the path towards the realization or legitimate aspirations of a nation,” he said.
“May God grant his abundant blessings on this New Year 2014. Manigong Bagong Taon. Mabuhay!” he added. (PND)
