PNP, nipasidaan sa pagdagsang sa mga pekeng kwarta
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, April 29 (PIA)–Nipasidaan karon ang nasudnong kapolisan sa publiko kalabot sa pagdagsang sa mga pekeng kwarta nga posibleng magamit sa “vote-buying” sa mga kandidato.
Matud pa sa tigpamaba sa Philippine National Police (PNP) nga si C/Supt. Generoso Cerbo, partikular nga gitutokan sa kapolisan karon ang mga lagyong lalawigan.
Kini human makadawat og impormasyon ang PNP nga pipila ka mga kandidato sa mga probinsya ang namalit og boto gamit ang mga pekeng kwarta.
Giseguro sa PNP nga dakpon ug pasakaan og tukmang kaso ang bisan kinsang nagpakuyanap sa mga pekeng kwarta.
Una nang gikumpirmar ni Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes nga ang vote buying ang usa sa tigdala og sakit sa ulo sa komisyon matag eleksyon.

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, April 29 (PIA)–The City Government of Tagbilaran and the Cathedral Parish of Saint Joseph the Worker has embarked on a collaborative efforts for this year’s celebration of the feast of Saint Joseph the Worker on May 1 dubbed as “Pit Senor San Jose! Viva San Jose! Viva Tagbilaran!”.
Starting last Monday, April 22, a daily novena is being held at 4:30 in the afternoon followed by a holy mass at 5:30 p.m. at the Cathedral.
A nightly activity at 7:30 p.m. at the Tagbilaran Port is now also ongoing. These activities are aimed at reviving, preserving and promoting the city’s significant tradition and unique cultural heritage, in cognizance with Executive Order No. 2 series of 2013 which created the City Council for Culture and the Arts.
Today, April 29, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., the statues of Saint Joseph, Mother Mary and Santo Nino comprising the Holy Family will be featured in a fluvial procession from Manga Port to Sitio Ubos, Poblacion I.
Tomorrow, April 30, the first-ever “Saulog Tagbilaran,” a religion-based cultural activity bringing to the fore the life of Saint Joseph, the City’s patron saint, as a loving father and devoted worker and the local devotees’ way of paying homage and thanksgiving will be launched.
This street dancing intends to drumbeat the 250th anniversary of the Cathedral Parish of Saint Joseph the Worker in 2017.
The 9 contingents are barangays Bool, Booy, Cabawan, Cogon, Manga, Mansasa, Poblacion I, Poblacion 2 and Ubujan. The contingents will assemble along the Old City Hall at 12:00 noon.
The street dancing will kick off at 1:00 p.m., turning left at C. Gallares Street, turning right at B. Inting Street, then proceeding right to CPG Avenue along City Square, turning right at J.S. Torralba near Plaza Rizal, making a left turn at E. Sarmiento fronting the Cathedral, turning left at J. A. Clarin Street leading towards the Tagbilaran City Hall Compound.

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, April 26 (PIA)–Sa pag-abot ni Presidente Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III kagahapon gikan sa gitambongang ASEAN Summit sa Brunei, gibalita niini ang positibong epekto sa Pilipinas partikular na sa isyu sa gi-ilogang teritoryo sa West Philippine Sea.
Sa pahayag sa Presidente kagahapon sa NAIA Terminal 2, miingon kini nga uyon ang mga pangulo sa mga nasud nga apil sa ASEAN sa panawagan sa Pilipinas kalabot sa hingpit nga implementasyon sa mga prinsipyong nahisulod sa Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea.
Sa gipahigayon nga summit, gitumbok sa Pilipinas ang kamahinungdanon sa pagmugna og usa ka Code of Conduct sa gi-ilogang mga teritoryo nga matud pa sa Presidente nga ilhon, tahuron ug sundon sa matag miyembro.
“Batid ng lahat ng pinuno ng ASEAN: ang maigting nating paninindigan ukol sa West Philippine Sea, ay nakatuon, hindi lamang sa pansariling interes ng kanya-kanyang bansa, kundi para rin sa mas aktibong kalakalan, at malawakang kaunlaran sa bahaging ito ng daigdig,” matud pa sa Presidente.

PRESIDENT Benigno S. Aquino III signed into law Republic Act No. 10515 otherwise known as the “Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act of 2013” that is aimed at protecting the cable television and cable internet industries from cable pilferage.
Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte announced during the regular press briefing in Malacanang on Tuesday that the Chief Executive signed the law last April 17, 2013.
The law prohibits cable television and internet tapping and penalizes offenders with imprisonment of two to five years or a fine of P50,000 to P100,000 or both, at the discretion of the court.
If the offender is a corporation or association, the president, manager, managing partner or any officer of the corporation or partnership who directly participated in the violation of the Act shall be held liable.
With the President’s signing of the law, illegal tapping of any signal offered over cable television (CATV) or cable internet system and the malicious destruction or removal of existing CATV or cable internet facilities will be prohibited.
The law also prohibits recording, reproducing, distributing, importing or selling of any intercepted or received CATV system/network signals for commercial purposes without the authority of the concerned CATV or cable internet service provider.
Within sixty (60) days after the effectivity of this Act, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) shall undertake an information dissemination campaign to inform the public of the existence of this Act.
This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
The newly-signed Act which is a consolidation of Senate Bill No. 3345 and House Bill No. 709 was finally passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives on January 28, 2013 and January 30, 2013, respectively. (PND)

“The President has declared Monday, May 13, 2013, a special public (non-working) holiday throughout the country. The Constitution designates national and local polls to be held on the second Monday of May and by virtue of Proclamation No. 571, s. 2013, the President wishes to enable the Filipino people to exercise their right to suffrage,” matud pa sa pahayag nga gipagawas sa Malakanyang karong adlawa.

Matud pa ni Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, gilagdaan kini ni PNoy niadtong Abril 17, 2013.
May silot kini nga pagka-bilanggo og duha hangtud lima ka tuig o silot nga P50,000 hangtud P100,000 o pareho, depende sa kabobot-on sa husgado.
Kun ang nakalapas usa ka korporasyon o kapunongan, ang presidente, manager, managing partner o bisan kinsang opisyal sa korporasyon kapunongan nga direktang adunay partisipasyon sa maong kalapasan ang manubag.
