TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Oct. 18 (PIA)–Gikumpirmar karon ni Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Mar Roxas nga nabalik na sa normal ang halos tanang suplay sa koryente sa daghang lungsod sa Bohol nga grabeng naapektuhan sa magnitude 7.2 nga linog nga nitay-og sa lalawigan niadtong Oktubre 15.
Matud pa ni Roxas, tulo na lamang ka lungsod karon ang wala pa gihapo’y suplay sa kuryente nga naglangkob sa Maribojoc, Loon ug Sagbayan.
Dugang pa sa kalihim, ang police station ug munisipyo lamang sa lungsod sa Loon ang adunay suplay sa koryente karon.
Giingong gihimuan na kini og paagi sa Department of Energy (DoE) ug lokal nga electic cooperative dinhi nga mabalik na sa normal ang suplay sa koryente sa tibuok lalawigan.
Samtang gipahibalo ni Director Asteria Caberte sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) sa Rehiyon 7 nga susihon na sa DOE ang giingong over pricing sa pagbaligya og gasolina dinhi sa lalawigan sa Bohol nga grabeng naapektuhan sa linog.
Matud pa ni Caberte, dili apil sa price freeze ang gasolina ug wala may kakulang sa suplay dinhi sa lalawigan apan nadugay lamang ang pag-abot tungod sa mga nagubang dalan.
Una nang nipagawas og prize freeze ang DTI sa mga nag-unang panaliton sa Bohol ug Cebu apan wala naapil niini ang presyo sa gasolina.
Una niini, gireklamo sa pipila ka mga residente dinhi ang P100 matag litro nga presyo sa gasolina tungod kay nagdugang lamang kini sa kalisod sa mga motorista.

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Oct. 17 (PIA) – Bohol local officials recommended to the COMELEC to suspend the barangay elections here after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit the province in the morning of October 15.
Bohol governor Edgar Chatto said the Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed a resolution asking the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for the postponement of the barangay elections in Bohol and to grant special elections after the province has settled down from the tragedy.
Bohol has already been declared under a state of calamity.
Under Section 5 of the Omnibus Election Code, postponement or suspension of elections are granted in cases where there are conflicts, war, terrorism, and destructions of election records and paraphernalia and in “force majeure” or calamity.
Latest information says, COMELEC commissioners will tackle the resolution/request en banc today whether or not to grant the postponement of the barangay elections on October 28 in Bohol, especially in areas that are badly damaged by the earthquake. (PIA7-Bohol/ECBongos

Kini tungod kay apektado man ang tinubdan sa suplay sa tubig sa lalawigan.
Dugang pa niini ang mga panawagan sa daghang mga residente nga mga lumolopyo sa mga lungsod sa Maribojoc, Loon ug Loboc nga nangayo og tabang.
Apan giseguro karon ni Chatto nga naabot na sa mga otoridad ug rescue teams ang pila ka mga lungsod nga nahimong isolated tungod sa kusog nga pagtay-og sa linog niadtong Martes
Gipasabot sa gobernador nga gawas sa mga lungsod sa Loboc, Loon ug Maribojoc, grabe usab ang kadaut sa 7.2 magnitude nga linog sa Antequera, Calape, Tubigon, Sagbayan, San Isidro, Clarin, Inabanga ug uban pa.
Ang maong mga lugar ang nakatala og daghang mga casualties.
Gawas sa relief operations, gipahigayon usab ang retrieval operations sa Loon ug sa Maribojoc tungod sa taho nga aduna pay mga nalubong nga buhi nga kinahanglang kubkobon.
Daku ang pasalamat sa mga local nga opisyal sa Bohol sa paspas nga pagresponde sa Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) nga nitabang sa search and retrieval operations nga nagdala pa og mga K9 dogs.
Sa pagkakaron, gihimong receiving area alang sa pagkolekta og mga relief goods ang Bohol Cultural Center.

With three out of 14 bridges in Bohol heavily damaged, the Department of Public Works and Highways said it will provide temporary bridging materials to connect isolated areas in the province.
In a briefing with President Benigno S. Aquino III at the Governor’s mansion here, Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson said the building materials will come from Bacolod and Aklan and will take the department maximum of four weeks to build.
“We hope we’ll be able to do it in less than four weeks. All the others are minor—‘yung mga approach lang, settlements—which means that out of the 14, the 11 remaining should be passable within a week’s time,” Singson told the President. The private sector is also helping the government assess the province’s structures, he said.
The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers is bringing in 10 structural engineers, together with the DPWH’s bridge and structural engineers. The experts will be assessing hospitals, school buildings, municipal halls, and public markets, he explained.
Although there are damages to roads, Singson said they believe they could make most of the roads passable soon.
With regards to the condition of the Tagbilaran Airport, Transportation and Communication Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya said the facility has opened since 10:30 a.m. yesterday. While there are limitation the facility is structurally sound, he said.
As to the Tagbilaran Port, Abaya said it is partially open. It could actually accommodate two non-RORO vessels and two RORO vessels. The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) engineers are coming over to assess the expansion of the cargo area to allow forklifts and trucks to move containers.
Based on the initial assessment of the PPA, the Tagbilaran port would need P500 million for repairs, Abaya said.
The Philippine Coast Guard has two vessels assisting DSWD in its relief operations, he said. One is loading up in Manila and another vessel in Cebu is also loading cargo to help the victims. (PND)

Gipahibalo sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) nga kapin sa 5,000 ka pamilya ang naapektuhan sa linog ug nagpadala na sila og pagkaon ug mga tolda aron kasamtangang magamit sa mga biktima.
Matud pa ni DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman, pagadalhon sa iyang buhatan ang mga wala na gigamit nga tolda sa lungsod sa Zamboanga aron magamit sa mga Bol-anon.
Dugang pa ni Soliman, usa ka C-130 cargo plane sa Philippine Air Force (AFP) ang gigamit aron mahatud ang 2,000 food packs sa DSWD sa pakigtambayayong sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) sa Bohol.
Gawas sa food packs, 38 ka trapal usab ang gihatud aron magamit sa mga biktima sa linog.
Aron usab matubag ang panginahanglan sa maayong panglawas sa mga Bol-anon, gibutyag sa Kalihim nga ang Department of Health (DoH) magdala dili lamang mga tambal apan apil na sa mga gamit nga gikinahanglan aron matambalan ang mga naangol na dili kayang matambalan sa mga ospital sa lalawigan sa Bohol.
Giseguro sa Presidente nga ang iyang administrasyon andam kanunay nga motabang sa mga dapit nga apektado sa mga kalamidad ug adunay igahin ang kagamhanan niini.
Kauban sa Presidente sa pag-abot dinhi sa lalawigan sa Bohol sila Sec. Rogelio Singson sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Sec. Jose Rene Almendras sa Department of Energy (DOE), Sec. Voltaire Gazmin sa Department of National Defense (DND), Sec. Joseph Emilio Abaya sa Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC), Sec. Dinky Soliman sa DSWD ug Sec. Plaza Marcela in Cogon and Sundry Shop at MetroCentre Hotel are open again to the relief of Boholanos who badly needed to buy supplies. Unfortunately, many towns are still isolated, most notably, Loon. Supplies routes to Loon are all unpassable. Fortunately relief operations from the national government is already in action there.
BDO and ChinaBank ATMs are also functional as reported by people on Facebook. Many other ATMs are possibly online already since telephone and Internet access has been restored in most areas in Tagbilaran City.
